IRIS MUSQUÉ is a radiant perfume that showcases one of the finest perfume materials, orris root butter. It is called butter because the essential oil is solid at room temperature. Orris is extracted from the rhizomes (roots) of the iris plant, rather than the flower itself. The rhizomes have to be dried for several years before distillation, that only yields around 0.2% of essential oil.  This precious perfume uses a large amount of orris that takes the center stage and is supported by roses, amber, creamy Mysore sandalwood, vanilla, an overdose of musks, including deer musk, and a touch of the magical aged costus root oil. The end result is powdery musky floral delight that exudes beauty and femininity.
